A Note on ABA

We recognize that applied behavior analysis (ABA) is controversial in the ASD community. We also recognize that many ABA practitioners have adapted to modern scientific and social recommendations. Modern ABA practitioners should not be using punishments to deter behavior. Instead, the purpose of ABA should be to reinforce positive behavior, build upon individual strengths, and help kids feel comfortable participating in society.
