How to Stop Vaping

Tips for Success

  • Join a Text Message Program: The EX Program offers support through text messages. Click here to sign up.
  • Take Small, Gradual Steps: Gradually reduce the nicotine content in your e-cigarette/vape over time.
  • Set a Quit Date: Choose a date to stop vaping and stick to it.
  • Identify Triggers: Recognize situations that make you want to vape and plan how to avoid or manage them.
  • Stay Busy: Engage in activities that keep your mind off vaping, like exercise, hobbies, or spending time with friends.
  • Seek Support: Tell your friends and family about your quitting plan and ask for their support.

Dealing with Withdrawals

  • Stay Hydrated: Drink plenty of water to flush nicotine out of your system.
  • Practice Relaxation Techniques: Deep breathing, meditation, and mindfulness can help manage stress and cravings.
  • Stay Positive: Remind yourself of the reasons you want to quit and celebrate your progress.
